Of the contemporary eminent doyens of Tamil Literature: Ki. Rajanarayanan, Sundara Ramaswamy, Mu. Karunanidhi. Maa. Aranganathan, Raj Gowthaman, Vilvarathinam, Pama, Rajendira Cholan, Azhagiya Periyavan, M.L. Thangappa, Gnanakoothan, Inkulab, Devadevan, Theodore Baskar, Pazhamalai, Kovai Gnani, Pa. Jeyapragasam, Arunthathi Roy, Prof. Kalyani, Poet Kalyanji and others.

Of the living poets & writers of Tamil Literature: Kalapriya, Anand, Ramesh-Prem, Devibarathi, Charu Niveditha, Ravikumar, A.R. Venkatachalapathy, Sugumaran, Kanimozhi, Malathimaithri, Salma as well as of the world-renowned Dancer – Ragunath Manet and the most mellifluous and melodious Singer – Sanjai Subramaniam are also documented.

Associated in the project of documentation “Kolams in Tamilnadu Villages” with the esteemed scholar, Mary Premila Boseman. Collaborated with Leena Manimegalai, in the short film “Parai” (The Drum), 2003 and in the short film “Breaking the shackles”, 2004. The Vellore Fort,an historically significant spot, had been documented in such a flavour and spice for the centenary commemoration of the ‘1806 Vellore Sepoy Mutiny’.

PHOTO EXHIBITIONS:

Exhibitions held on the doyen of Karisal Ilakkiyam, “Ki Ra” at Puducherry in September, 2003 and at Kovai, march 2004, appreciated by the famous film – maker, Adoor Gopalakrishnan, Actors – Sivakumar, Nazaar, Artist – Adimoolam.

Exhibitions held on the veteran Writer-Poet-Critic “Su.Ra” in the Alliance Francaise, Chennai. Creative Artists – Adimoolam, Marudu, Cine and Drama Director cum Actor Nazaar, Modern Playwright – Naa. Muthuswamy, Art Director – Krishnamoorthy and other personalities too participated and appreciated.

Participated in the group photographers show, held on the topic of World Photography Day, “Eye Looms” in Aug-2005.

On the title of “Puram Narpadhu”, held in the Alliance Francaise, Puducherry in Nov-2005, inaugurated by the “Karisal Ilakkiya” doyen of letters, “Ki.Ra”, Film Director – Thangar Bachan, Film Director Parthiban, participated and appreciated.

CREATIVE LITERARY WORKS, published:

“Indha” (This...), a haiku anthology published by himself, 2002, “Kadaka Vendiya Iravu” (The Night yet to be crossed), an anthology recently published by Kalachuvadu, 2005; “Uyir Kodugal”, a book compiled of the pencil sketch drawings of the veteran artist, Adimoolam, published by Annam, 2006; “Azhiyadha Ninaivugal”, a travelogue on the indelible memories of his Landscape Hunting, done in the deserted village of Dhanushkodi (Rameshwaram) published in the 2009 ‘Deepavali Special Issue’ of Dinakaran Daily.

Participated and Presented a Poem on the prisoner’s past memoirs in the 2009, Poets Meet “Chennai Sangamam”, conducted by Thamizh Sangamam.

SHORT FILMS AND DOCUMENTARY FILMS, produced:

“Vilimbil” (At the edges), a 24 minute short film on the world of children, 2000; “Kankaluku Appal” (Beyond the Eye’s Purview”), a 30 minute film on a blind boy’s sightlessness, 2002, screened in the international short films festival held at Swiss, Germany and Srilanka too.

A documentary film on the the “Karisal Ilakkiya Medhai”, “Ki.Ra”, 2008; a documentary film on Balamohanan, social activist, 2009; “Agavizhi” (Inner Eye) a documentary on a blind Palmyra tree climber in the district of Ramanathapuram, Tamil nadu, has been directed and produced by P.N.S Pandiyan, in which the cinematography has been done by K. Shankar (Puduvai Ilavenil), 2009. Currently, working on his own production of a doco-film in collaboration with the famous anthropologist, Prof. Bakthavachala Bharathi, on the folk-life of the hoary Tribals viz., Kattunayakar, Irular, Paniyar, Pettakurumbar of Southwest Tamilnadu.

PHOTO-DOCUMENTARY BOOKS published:

Gaana Saraswathi”, a photo-documentary book on the highly glorified classical carnatic songster, T.K. Pattammal, published by Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, 2007; “Raja Bhavanam”, a photo-documentary book on “Karisal Ilakkiya” doyen “Ki.Ra”, published by Annam, Sep 2007; “Vagri Material Culture”, a resource book, 2009, for the Vagri Community, published by National Folklore Support Centre, Recently engaged by the National Folklore Support Centre to cover the folk dance cultural programmes conducted by NFSC and TATA Educational Trust this book in print 2010. These all the photo-documentations have been done by him; The Better Photography Magazine published his Folk girl’s picture in Aug 2009.

AWARD:

The Department of Tourism, Government of Puducherry, conducted a photo competition and in which he had been honoured with the Special Photographer Award, 2008.

DREAMS FOR THE YEARS:

To document creatively the contemporary and coeval personalities and personages of the World of Literature and the Natural Scenic and Idyllic Beauties of our Mother Earth.
